I have started More than Numbers in an effort to share Refugee’s stories to help bring awareness to the on going Refugee Crisis. Every day refugees are still fleeing their countries and going to places like Greece in order to find security, safety, and a future.
I’ve traveled to Greece on three different occasions where I have met refugees in various places on the refugee journey. Some has recently left their country while other have been waiting for over a year to get settled. I will continue to travel to Greece and other European Countries to meet Refugees and hear their stories.
Every person is a human just like you and I. They are dads and moms, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. I have met teachers, lawyers, farmers; people who had a past and dream of a future where they can continue living their life. All of these people are more than just a number. The are not JUST part of the 22.5 million refugees world wide, they are people dreaming of a better life for themselves and their family.
More than Numbers exist to tell those stories. To put a face with their story. For the security of these people their names have been changed. Please feel free to share my blog, share their stories, and let’s be a voice for those who’s voices have been silenced.
